Raising money is an unending, sometimes nebulous, often exhausting pursuit. With experience in both nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy grant making, I demystify development strategies by piecing apart what it takes to engage donors and foundations.

Nonprofits ask a lot of their boards—leadership, fiduciary oversight, fundraising—and high functioning boards need strong structural support. I help boards define their culture and make sure it’s reflected in meetings, committees, and communications. And when board cycles bring change, I help you navigate onboarding to set up new folks for success and offboarding that invites candid feedback.

Timely, honest feedback is healthy for everyone in an organization—but ill-defined processes can cause distrust and uncertain executive expectations. I help boards manage 360-degree reviews of executives by creating avenues for stakeholders (staff, donors, board, volunteers, and other partners) to offer direct feedback that helps your leaders and organization grow.

I help you figure out how to apply this equity-advancing approach to your current processes, talk to stakeholders to get buy-in, and help ensure any changes you make are still aligned with the values of your foundation.
